Wendy Armstrong – awarded Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership

Congratulations to Wendy Armstrong, Senior Clinical Biochemist, who has been awarded a Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership. Wendy is only the second Healthcare Scientist to have been accepted on the Fellowship Programme since its launch in 2009.

The Darzi Fellowship Programme is a prestigious and high profile initiative. Over the past seven years, Darzis have led major service improvements, implemented numerous safety and quality initiatives, and made substantial financial savings for trusts. As part of her Fellowship, Wendy will be looking at cancer diagnostic pathways in London.

Fellows are supported by a bespoke leadership development programme with the London Southbank University. The programme is full-time for one year, and Wendy will start her fellowship in September 2016.

Wendy said: “It was a really competitive selection process and I’m delighted to have been selected. It’s a fantastic opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to starting the Fellowship”.
