In October SWLP hosted a visit from eight students from Chestnut Grove Academy, a local secondary school in Balham.
The students were studying for their A levels and for part of their course they had to design their own laboratory, after writing about the procedures and practices of a working laboratory.
They were given a guided tour of our microbiology, cellular pathology and clinical blood sciences laboratories and got to meet staff and ask questions about their work.
Exposure to our world-class laboratories will inspire students and encourage them to pursue relevant subjects – they are the scientists and potential staff of the future.
