Cellular Pathology services now live with new Laboratory Information Management System

South West London Pathology (SWLP) is replacing its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The new LIMS system is Winpath Enterprise from industry-leader Clinisys, who have introduced this system to many laboratory networks across the UK. Winpath Enterprise is a state of the art, remotely-hosted managed service, and will be introduced to all of the SWLP sites, making the network more stable and resilient.

SWLP Cellular Pathology services went live with the new system at 8:30 this morning (14 September). The system has been rolled out for Cellular Pathology across St George’s and Croydon Hospitals.

The new system was successfully rolled out for SWLP Blood Transfusion services in March this year and Cellular Pathology is the second area to move over. All remaining SWLP services will be moved to Winpath Enterprise by the end of the year.

We expect there to be very little disruption for end users when the new system is rolled out, however if you have any questions or concerns you can email SWLPComms@stgeorges.nhs.uk.
