Collection conditions
Used for analysis of routine non sterile and sterile specimens with the inclusion of pus, fluids (e.g. joint, drain, pleural, ascitic, peritoneal, pericardial, amniotic, bile, CSF), bone, pus, aspirates/vesical fluid and bone marrow, tips and IUCD. Use dry sterile bottle. All tissue samples should be collected aseptically and transferred directly to sterile sample containers with no additives of any kind.
Additional information
A WBC differential will be done on all ascitic fluid with a raised WBC > 250/ml. Sample stability – 4 weeks
