South West London Pathology (SWLP) is introducing new Beckman Coulter biochemistry analysers to it’s blood sciences laboratories across the whole SWLP network. This post includes the reference range changes for Croydon, Kingston and St George’s Hospital. Details of the changes for Epsom and St Helier hospitals will be added soon.

Collection conditions
Use for analysis of routine non sterile and sterile specimens with the inclusion of tissues/biopsies, bone and bone marrow. Use dry sterile bottle. All tissue samples should be collected aseptically and transferred directly to sterile sample containers with no additives of any kind. In the case of small fragments, place in a few ml of sterile saline.
Additional information
All lung tissues/biopsies are processed for Mycobacterial investigation.
Sample stability – 4 weeks.
