Collection conditions
Aerobic blood culture - prior to innoculation, disinfect the culture botle top, label the bottle with patient's details without covering the barcodes. inoculate the bottle with between 1-5ml of the fluid. After inoculation, disinfect the bottle top.

Negative bottles are kept for 48 hours, positive bottles for 3 months
