South West London Pathology (SWLP) is introducing new Beckman Coulter biochemistry analysers to it’s blood sciences laboratories across the whole SWLP network. This post includes the reference range changes for Croydon, Kingston and St George’s Hospital. Details of the changes for Epsom and St Helier hospitals will be added soon.

Possible clinical association – Renal diseases (and vasculitis), microscopic polyangiitis, Churg-Strauss syndrome, Polyarteritis nodosa. Useful in monitoring disease.
Reference range: 0-6 IU/mL
This test is added if ANCA is positive. If you have strong clinical indications of ANCA-associated vasculitis, but negative results for MPO and PR3 antibodies, please call a Consultant on 020 8725 5016 to discuss the possibility of testing with alternative methods.
