Possible clinical association – Renal diseases (and vasculitis), microscopic polyangiitis, Churg-Strauss syndrome, Polyarteritis nodosa. Useful in monitoring disease. Reference range: 0-6 IU/mL This test is added if ANCA is positive. If you have strong clinical indications of ANCA-associated vasculitis, but negative results for MPO and PR3 antibodies, please call a Consultant on 020 8725 5016 to discuss the possibility of testing with alternative methods.

IHC laboratory upgrade in Cellular Pathology

Our newly refurbished Immunohistochemistry (IHC) laboratory is now fully operational. This is now one of the largest IHC laboratory in the country. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is a powerful laboratory technique which use antibodies to detect specific proteins (antigens) in tissue samples, helping diagnose diseases like cancer, infections, and neurological disorders, classify tumor types, guide treatment, and study disease progression by visualising where these proteins are located under a microscope.
