Collection conditions:Use for analysis of routine non sterile and sterile specimens with the inclusion of pus, fluids (e.g. joint, drain, pleural, ascitic, peritoneal, pericardial, amniotic, bile, CSF), bone, pus, aspirates/vesical fluid and bone marrow, tips and IUCD. Send in dry sterile bottle. -
Reporting Frequency:TAT - Microscopy results available same day as receipt, culture 2 – 3 days. Some specimens may have prolonged incubation in which case a result will be issued in 5-7 days.
