Use Diagnostic Cytopathology request form. Spread material along length of a pre-labelled (name and DoB) microscope slide. Fix material immediately using absolute alcohol. Place slide(s) in slide box. Place and rinse needle in pot of Hank's medium and send to laboratory with slide(s).
