Test Information

  • Container:
    Coagulation studies, Sodium Citrate, Light Blue, 2.7ml, Paediatric 1ml (minimum volume)
     
  • Collection conditions:
    Samples taken from lines may be contaminated with heparin which could affect results. Samples must be filled to mark, taken with minimum stasis and analysed within 4 hours after venipuncture. May be added to samples less than 4 hours old-
     
  • Reporting Frequency:
    Urgent 60-90 minutes (dependent on extent of tests required). Routine 4 hours.
