South West London Pathology (SWLP) is introducing new Beckman Coulter biochemistry analysers to it’s blood sciences laboratories across the whole SWLP network. This post includes the reference range changes for Croydon, Kingston and St George’s Hospital. Details of the changes for Epsom and St Helier hospitals will be added soon.

Possible clinical associations – Immunodeficiency and infection. Used to exclude deficiencies of the classical complement cascade. Reference range: 63-145%Samples must be promptly separated and stored frozen. Samples for this test should be transported between laboratories on dry ice. This test is sent away to another laboratory. All referral work has an additional four working days added to the turnaround time to allow for sample processing and reporting.
