SWLP pathologists collaborate on unique Cellular Pathology book

Dr Limci Gupta, Dr Jayson Wang and Dr Val Thomas, three pathologists within Cellular Pathology have successfully collaborated together and written a practical day to day book entitled: ‘Practical applications in histopathology, cytopathology and autopsy: an MCQ/EMQ resource’.

The book covers various styles in which questions can be framed for FRCPath part 1 exam. A unique feature of the book is the inclusion of a section addressing clinical management issues in cellular pathology.

All the questions are original and based on routine pathology practice in UK.

Dr David M Bailey, a Consultant Histopathologist & the Vice President for Communications at the Royal College of Pathologists endorsed the book and provided the foreword for the book saying:

“This is a resource that will obviously be popular with and useful to trainees preparing for the part 1 FRCPath in Histopathology, but which will also be helpful to established histopathologists.

“The quality of the chapters is extremely high, and the questions for each subject area testing, but not impossible. he breadth of subject matter covered by the chapters is comprehensive and the layout is very easy to use.

“Recent developments in molecular pathology are also present throughout the appropriate chapters which increase the value of this publication dramatically.”
