South West London Pathology recently had two successful quality assurance inspections.
Our biochemistry, haematology and blood transfusion teams at our spoke site in Croydon successfully passed their Clinical Pathology Accreditation (CPA) assessment. The CPA scheme ensures that all laboratories provide a high quality service to defined standards. An accredited laboratory ensures that users and patients can be confident that standards set by the CPA are achieved and maintained.
There was also good news for the cervical cytology team in September. The who were congratulated by the quality assurance visiting team for successfully bringing the three labs together and for continuing to maintain turnaround times for the cervical cytology tests throughout this period.
