Joanne Morris

Joanne is a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Biochemistry with a specialist interest in proteins.  She joined the department in February 2020.

Joanne studied biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Manchester, before training as a Clinical Scientist in London. Her training included time with Dr Joanna Sheldon in our department, which is where her interest in proteins began. Joanne was Lead Clinical Scientist in the Proteins Laboratory at the Royal Free Hospital, London, and then worked in Biochemistry at the Whittington Hospital for five years as Consultant Clinical Scientist before moving to our laboratory.

Joanne has a particular interest in protein analysis relating to myeloma, including serum free light chains and mass spectrometry.
