Haval’s experience in Point of Care Testing (POCT) spans over 18 years and includes strategy and policy, service delivery and programme management, quality improvement and business development.

As POCT Manager he responsible for all aspect of the POCT across the South West London Pathology network (SWLP). This includes the delivery of a harmonised, standardised, electronically-connected and integrated POCT service with state-of-the-art POCT solutions and excellent clinical expertise.

Haval has a special interest in working with clinicians of all specialities to develop lean and efficient patient pathways and processes. This includes utilising POCT and rapid diagnostic solutions that improve patient flow, capacity management and patient outcome and experience both in the primary and secondary care settings.

Haval won the NHS London innovation in healthcare education award (November 2013) and the Advancing Healthcare award (April 2014). He was also a finalist of the HSJ award 2018 and 2021 for the introduction of the rapid POCT influenza and covid testing in the emergency departments in South West London.
