Watch our new pathology videos!

19 February 2018

South West London Pathology have teamed up with the Royal College of Pathologists to create a series of videos for patients, students and the general public.

The videos will follow the journey of four different types of samples through our state of the art laboratories.

The first video to be completed is about a biopsy following a sample on its journey through our Histology laboratory. The video explains how a sample is processed in our labs and how reports are issued to clinical teams. The video also highlights the variety of roles within the laboratory and the vital contribution pathology makes to patient diagnosis and treatment.

Our second video featuring a chemistry sample has also been released and can be watched on our Youtube channel.

More filming is planned to create videos on how testing is carried out in our Immunology and Microbiology laboratories.
