Following a lengthy procurement process, the new SWLP courier contract has been awarded to eCourier, which is part of the Royal Mail group. The new courier vans are primarily electric, and eCourier are moving towards a fully-electric fleet. The vans will be fully tracked, which means we can follow the progress of samples from their collection point to the laboratory. They also offer temperature control, allowing us to ensure that all samples reach the laboratory ready to be tested.
SWLP Managing Director Simon Brewer says, “I am delighted that we are now able to confirm eCourier as our new transport supplier. They will be able to help us to meet our goals over the coming years and will improve the service we provide to our end users and ultimately to the patients we serve.”
