Microbiology host Royal College of Pathologist exams

SWLP hosted the prestigious Royal College of Pathologists Fellowship Examination for bacteriology and virology in April. SWLP has been hosting these exams since 2014 – it is a collaborative effort with St George’s University medical school providing the labs; the hospital Trust providing the consultants; and SWLP’s Medical Microbiology department providing the biomedical science staff and support staff.

The exam is taken in two parts and trainees are awarded Fellowship status of the Royal College of Pathologists upon successful completion of both parts.
