Croydon Laboratory Tours

6 July 2017

In May the laboratory at Croydon hosted two laboratory tours for staff and visitors.

The aim of the event was to give staff and visitors the opportunity to find out what happens in a laboratory, to meet staff working there and to ask any questions about what happens to sample in the laboratory. The tours were led by Evangeline Emmanuel, Biomedical Support Worker, and Smita Patel, Specialist Biomedical Scientist.

The laboratory will be holding tours on a regular basis. They are keen to encourage nursing staff in particular to attend the tours so that they get a better understanding of key issues such as sample labelling and a strict adherence to patient safety.
