Celebrating Haval Ozgun’s leadership in point of care testing and community diagnostics

A person in a suit holding a briefcase in a large building.

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding work of Haval Ozgun General Manager of Rapid Diagnostics and POCT. Last month, Haval represented SWLP at a prestigious round-table discussion in Stormont Parliament in Northern Ireland, where he spoke about the growing impact of POCT and community diagnostics in the NHS.

Haval’s participation in this important event highlighted the work we are doing at SWLP, particularly in relation to diabetes and cardiovascular disease screening in primary care. His insights reinforced how POCT plays a crucial role in helping us manage patients in their communities, prevents unnecessary hospital admissions and brings care closer to home.

In line with the recommendations of Lord Darzi’s recent report, Independent investigation of the NHS in England, Haval emphasised the importance of expanding community-based diagnostics as part of a broader strategy to enhance disease prediction and prevention and improve public health outcomes. This initiative aligns perfectly with the NHS’s goals of enhancing patient care and reducing pressure on hospitals through innovative programmes like virtual wards, community diagnostic centres and NHS health checks and screening programmes.

Haval’s involvement in these discussions is a testament to our organisation’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and finding forward-thinking solutions. We look forward to seeing the next steps in this conversation and are grateful to Haval for representing SWLP on such an influential platform.

Thank you, Haval, for your continued dedication and leadership!
