Celebrating a landmark year: SWLP Annual Report 2024/25

We have published our Annual Report for 2024/25, showcasing a year of exceptional transition, resilience, and achievement.

The report highlights a period of major modernisation, with significant investments in cutting-edge automation from partners like Beckman Coulter, Leica Biosystems, Roche, and Kiestra. This technological transformation is enhancing diagnostic precision and speed across the network.

A defining moment of the year was our heroic response to support GP and patients in south east London following the Synnovis cyber-attack, processing millions of extra tests while maintaining our own high standards, a true testament to the core SWLP value: You can depend on us.

The report also celebrates our 10th anniversary, marked by a decade of growth as an all-NHS partnership. It underscores a deep commitment to staff as the biggest asset, with over 50 colleagues supported through professional qualifications and vibrant morale-boosting initiatives.

With 51 million tests performed, the dedication of every member of the 700 person-strong team is clear. As we enters the final year of our five-year strategy, the foundation is set for continued innovation and clinical excellence, truly #MakingEveryTestMatter.
