Congratulations to Wendy Armstrong, Senior Clinical Biochemist, who has been awarded a Darzi Fellowship in Clinical Leadership. Wendy is only the second Healthcare Scientist to have been accepted on the Fellowship Programme since its launch in 2009.

Roche executives tour our laboratories
Senior executives from Roche visited the hub site and were given a tour of our state-of-the-art chemistry and the new molecular laboratory in microbiology. The laboratory tours were led by Sean Lynch, Discipline Manager for Clinical Blood Sciences and Alan Spratt, Chief Biomedical Scientist for Virology.
SWLP pathologists collaborate on unique Cellular Pathology book
Dr Limci Gupta, Dr Jayson Wang and Dr Val Thomas, three pathologists within Cellular Pathology have successfully collaborated together and written a practical day to day book entitled: ‘Practical applications in histopathology, cytopathology and autopsy: an MCQ/EMQ resource’.
Trauma and Haematology education day
Two hundred delegates from 53 trusts joined Consultant Haematologist and clinical lead for blood transfusion across SWLP, Dr James Uprichard, and his Transfusion Team for the Trauma and Haematology education day on behalf of the London & South East Trauma & Haematology Group.
Celebrating Innovation in Pathology
SWLP held a celebration event on Wednesday 4 May, giving local stakeholders the opportunity to visit our new state-of-the-art pathology hub laboratories at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, SW London.
