SWLP were finalists for a Lord Carter Innovation Award – the first year of the awards.
In April Croydon showcased their work to hospital staff and visitors by holding an event in the foyer of the hospital. Staff and visitors had the opportunity to speak to scientists working in the labs and to find out about their work and how they can get the most from their pathology service.
SWLP hosted the prestigious Royal College of Pathologists Fellowship Examination for bacteriology and virology in April.
Dr Jo Sheldon, Clinical Lead for Immunology, ran a number of sessions for GPs in April about the Immunology service provided by SWLP.
Well done to all our biomedical work placement students from the University of Westminster who all took part in a poster presentation display in April. They were tasked with producing a poster showing an aspect of their working day in one of our laboratories.
